What is the new patient portal at VCU?
Important update – VCU Health has a new patient portal, MyChart. Effective December 4, 2021: MyChart is the new patient portal. Starting December 4, 2021, all patients need to register for a MyChart account.
Can I still use my VCU Health view-only access?
Even if you previously used the My VCU Health Patient Portal, you need to create a new MyChart account. However, My VCU Health view-only access will still be available to review previous messages, appointments, prescriptions, and other information in the My VCU Health portal. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition.

How long does it take to get a pre-placement health assessment?
Note: An employee whose position requires contact with blood or bodily fluids as part of the job duties must be scheduled for a pre-placement health assessment within 10 days of the first day of work. This includes new hires and transfers/promotions. Call (804) 828-0584 for expedited scheduling.

Does your practice use Epic as its electronic health record?
If so, you do not need to register for EpicCare Link – you’ll have access to the same information via EpicCare Everywhere.

How to view lab results on Student Health?
Your Student Health provider may choose to post lab results to the Web Portal. Ask your provider which labs can be viewed. To view approved lab results, sign in to the Web Portal and click on "My Profile".
How to access previous patient brochures?
To access the brochures, go to your previous appointment list: Click on the "Appt. Scheduling" tab, choose "View Appts.", then click on the "Previous" tab.
Is email secure for student health?
Secure messaging through the Web Portal is the primary means by which Student Health providers contact their patients. Email contact is not considered secure and private. When a secure message has been sent, you will be notified by text and/or email to check your messages.
