Benefits Overview
Phelps Health delivers a comprehensive set of benefits for employees including health, dental, vision and life insurance, to name a few.
Paid Days Off
All regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible for paid days off after 90 days of employment. Employees may cash out up to 80 hours in pay per anniversary year (but must have 40 hours remaining in their paid days off account).
Special Sick Leave
All regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible for special sick leave after 90 days of employment. Employees accrue 2.68% of hours worked (based on a maximum of 80 hours per pay period) for up to a maximum of 720 hours.
401k Retirement Plan
All employees, upon hire, are automatically enrolled into the 401k retirement plan after 30 days of employment, with Phelps Health matching 2% of their salary. This increases by 1% each year, up to 6%. Employees can contribute 2% to 100% of their annual salary, pre-tax. Loans are available.
Phelps Health Now
Phelps Health Now is a secure, affordable and convenient way to see a doctor from your home when your regular primary care provider is unavailable. Phelps Health employees and their dependents who are covered by Phelps Health’s medical insurance plan will have a $35 co-pay for telehealth visits through Phelps Health Now.
Medical Care Discount
All regular full-time and regular part-time employees who DO NOT ELECT to enroll in the employee health insurance offered by Phelps Health are eligible for a medical care discount after 30 days of employment. The employee receives a 25% discount for medical services rendered at Phelps Health.
Educational Assistance
All regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible for educational assistance after 30 days of employment. Full-time employees for undergraduate courses are eligible for $4,000 per calendar year. Part-time employees for undergraduate courses are eligible for $2,000 per calendar year.
Secure online access to your accounts
MyPhelps is a completely secure website that allows you to have access to your hospital records, medical history and other data. You can also use the MyPhelps patient portal to keep track of your dependent’s information. Through MyPhelps, you can have complete control over your medical information.
Signing up for MyPhelps is easy
A representative from the Admitting team will give you a registration code when you arrive at the hospital for any service. For security reasons, this code will expire after seven days. You may use it to register for a MyPhelps account .
Printed medical records
If you prefer not to use the MyPhelps patient portal, the Medical Records Department (also called the Health Information Management [HIM] department) can also release your medical records to you. You may visit the HIM department at the hospital or request the information by mail or fax. Requests will be processed within 10 business days.
